Artist Profile

Growing up in Kolkata, drawing and painting has been a part of me since childhood. I worked in the field of IT for several years, before giving it up to pursue painting full time. I am a self-taught artist, learning the nuances of painting through experience. I have been fortunate to have Smt. Shobha Broota as my mentor

I enjoy working with oil and acrylic on canvas. Evolving from my earlier style of realistic oil paintings, I now enjoy doing figurative work mostly in acrylic. Experimenting with colour and forms, I try to tell the story of the beauty of life, of people and their engagement with the environment.

Having lived in various cities of India has also enriched my cultural experience
